ASLAN Pharmaceuticals Delists from Nasdaq, Declines to Appeal

July 15, 2024 by No Comments

SAN MATEO, Calif. and SINGAPORE, July 15, 2024 — ASLAN Pharmaceuticals (“ASLAN” or the “Company”, Nasdaq: ASLN), a clinical-stage, immunology-focused biopharmaceutical company developing innovative treatments to transform the lives of patients, announced today that on July 9, 2024, it was notified by Nasdaq that its securities would be delisted from the exchange. This decision was based on ASLAN’s failure to meet the $1.00 bid price and $2.5 million stockholders’ equity requirements for continued listing on Nasdaq. ASLAN’s board of directors has decided not to appeal this decision.

Previously, on January 5, 2024, ASLAN was notified that its American Depositary Shares (“ADSs”) had closed below the minimum $1.00 threshold for 30 consecutive business days. ASLAN was given 180 days to regain compliance with the bid price requirement. On April 18, 2024, ASLAN was also notified that it no longer met the $2.5 million stockholders’ equity requirement. The company submitted a compliance plan for review, as required.

On July 3, 2024, ASLAN changed the ratio of its ordinary shares to one (1) ADS representing two hundred (200) ordinary shares. This resulted in a closing price in excess of $1.00 per ADS. Since then, the bid price for the Company’s ADSs has closed above the minimum $1.00 threshold for five consecutive business days. However, ASLAN needs to maintain a bid price of $1.00 per ADS for ten consecutive business days to fully demonstrate compliance with the listing requirements.
