NEW YORK, Dec. 02, 2024 — WeRide Inc. (“WeRide”), a global leader in autonomous driving technology, (Nasdaq: WRD) has been named to the 2024 Fortune Future 50 list. This list recognizes the top global public and private companies with the strongest potential for long-term growth, based on criteria such as strategic direction, technological advancements, investments, personnel, and organizational structure. Other prominent companies included on the list are OpenAI, Shopify, Nvidia, and Reddit.

WeRide’s inclusion, as the highest-ranked autonomous driving company, follows its October 2024 Initial Public Offering (IPO) and Nasdaq listing. This makes WeRide the world’s first publicly traded robotaxi company and the first publicly traded universal autonomous driving technology company. The IPO and a private placement raised $458.5 million.

Established in 2017 by Boston Consulting Group and Fortune, the ranking evaluates the long-term revenue growth prospects of over 2,800 publicly traded companies (with a minimum market capitalization of $5 billion) and over 170 privately held firms (with at least $1 billion in funding). A proprietary “vitality index” is used for assessment. Companies on the list have consistently shown revenue growth exceeding broader market performance.

This recognition reinforces WeRide’s leading global position in autonomous driving. In September 2023, WeRide was also named one of Fortune’s “2023 Change the World” companies.
