Shenzhen, China, July 26, 2024 — On July 25th, Geekvape unveiled its inaugural Carbon Neutrality Action Report (hereafter referred to as the “Action Report”), pledging to achieve operational carbon neutrality by 2035 and value chain carbon neutrality by 2050. Furthermore, on June 20th, Geekvape formally joined the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), becoming the first non-listed vape industry company globally to do so. This underscores Geekvape’s dedication to mitigating global climate change and fostering long-term, environmentally friendly, and low-carbon development within the industry.

Carbon neutrality roadmap with targets and action plans

The Action Report outlines Geekvape’s emission reduction pathways and action plan for achieving carbon neutrality. Geekvape has been actively implementing specific carbon reduction measures across various aspects, including sustainable product design, environmentally conscious and low-carbon manufacturing processes, product recycling, low-carbon operations, and sustainable supply chain practices. Moving forward, Geekvape will continue to initiate emission reduction measures within its own operations and collaborate with partners throughout its value chain to systematically achieve its carbon neutrality goals.

Geekvape’s actions in achieving carbon neutrality

Geekvape has been engaging in a series of innovations and practices geared towards carbon neutrality. At the R&D and design phase, Geekvape has embraced the concept of sustainable product design through product platformization, component modularization, and design standardization. In its production activities, the company has reduced operational carbon emissions by implementing lean production techniques, energy management systems, and energy-saving technologies. Concurrently, Geekvape actively dedicates its carbon reduction efforts through initiatives such as end-of-life product recycling, low-carbon office and commuting practices, and low-carbon community service activities. Additionally, the office area of Geekvape’s wholly-owned intelligent industrial park has received the highest LEED Platinum certification for commercial interiors.

Allen, CEO and Chairman of the Sustainable Development Committee of Geekvape, stated:

“To achieve this ambitious goal, we will integrate green and low-carbon concepts into every stage of our product life cycle, reducing resource consumption through enhanced product quality and production efficiency. At the same time, we will actively strengthen our supply chain management and continuously bolster its resilience. Looking ahead, we will embrace the opportunities presented by the low-carbon transition, maintain a long-term focus, and embed “green and low-carbon” into our corporate culture, ultimately making significant contributions to the sustainable development of both the industry and society.”
