BEIJING, Dec. 02, 2024 — A global press conference promoting Jiangxi’s culture and tourism, themed “Picturesque Jiangxi with Unique Landscape,” took place in Beijing on November 30, 2024. More than 200 attendees were present, including representatives from national cultural and tourism businesses and members of the Jiangxi Province Key Tourism Scenic Area Promotion Alliance.

Liu Shijun, Vice Chairman and Secretary-General of the World Tourism Alliance, highlighted Jiangxi’s stunning scenery and rich cultural heritage as key assets in developing a world-class tourism destination.

Mei Yi, Director-General of the Jiangxi Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, outlined Jiangxi’s strategy to boost tourism through initiatives like the “FOLLOW Jiangxi” and “DISCOVER Jiangxi” campaigns. The province plans to establish overseas promotion centers showcasing Jiangxi’s unique landscape and launch new international tourism products and routes to expand its global reach and enhance its international reputation.

The conference showcased 546 attractive tourism policies from Jiangxi’s 11 prefecture-level cities, encompassing discounts on tickets, accommodation, dining, transportation, and travel agency services, along with 77 inbound tourism policies. The province extended a warm invitation to global visitors to explore Jiangxi and experience the captivating beauty of the Ganpo region.
