Xiamen, China, December 25, 2024 – Fujian Province’s first fully automated, unmanned laboratory for testing the physical properties of metal materials opened on November 27th at Xiamen Jiehang Engineering Testing Technology Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of CCCC Third Harbor Engineering Co., Ltd.

This advanced laboratory utilizes an electric tensile universal testing machine, video extensometer, infrared length measuring device, weighing device, sample placement device, and automated robotic arm. It leverages Jiehang’s proprietary “Jie Intelligent Inspection Intelligent Detection System” for seamless integration, enabling automated measurements around the clock.

The lab’s capabilities include automated sample scanning, automated steel bar weight deviation detection, steel bar tensile strength testing, steel bar mechanical connection joint tensile testing, and metal material (plate) dimension and tensile testing. Automation eliminates manual sample preparation, boosting testing efficiency by over six times. Its automation level, and the comprehensiveness of its testing functions, represent a significant advancement in automated testing equipment within China’s engineering testing sector.
