Particula Secures $5.5M to Expand AI Risk Ratings and Moves Headquarters to the U.S.
MUNICH, April 29, 2025 — Particula, a top provider of AI-powered risk analysis for digital assets, has secured $5.5 million in funding. The round was spearheaded by SixThirty Ventures, Vanagon Ventures, and Futury Capital, with contributions from TX Ventures, Blackwood Ventures, Tenity, Blue Bay Ventures, Plug and Play Tech Center, and prominent angel investors. Osborne Clarke advised Particula on the deal. This investment underscores the increasing need from institutions for automated, real-time risk evaluation in the digital asset market.
Powering Institutional-Grade Risk Intelligence for Digital Assets
As the digital asset economy matures, assessing risk becomes more complex for market participants. Particula offers automated risk ratings by analyzing factors like issuer credibility, asset backing, regulatory compliance, and smart contract security. By delivering independent, data-driven insights, the company enables major financial institutions, leading issuers, and various trading platforms to confidently evaluate digital assets, solidifying its role in promoting trust and transparency in digital finance.
Strategic Expansion to the U.S. Market
To boost growth and strengthen institutional relationships, Particula is moving its headquarters to the United States, placing itself in a key position within the evolving regulatory environment. As U.S. regulators refine their stance on digital assets, a move towards clearer regulations and greater institutional involvement is anticipated. This shift highlights the growing demand for independent risk assessment tools that offer real-time transparency across digital financial products. By establishing a U.S. presence, Particula is reinforcing its position in a major financial market, ensuring it remains a leader in shaping risk intelligence standards for the future of digital finance.
“As Particula advances into this next growth stage, we are dedicated to establishing new benchmarks in digital asset risk intelligence, ensuring the future of finance is not only tokenized but also secure, scalable, and transparent,” stated Timm Reinsdorf, CEO of Particula.
“The tokenization of traditional financial assets—bonds, funds, securities, real estate—presents a multi-trillion-dollar opportunity. As regulated institutions adopt tokenization to improve liquidity, distribution, and efficiency, they encounter challenges with DeFi interoperability. Particula addresses this by providing automated risk rating and monitoring of tokenized assets at scale, facilitating the convergence of DeFi and TradFi. Founders Timm, Nadine, and Carsten, with their deep roots in digital assets and DeFi, are capitalizing on the larger TradFi opportunity, and we are excited to support them on this journey alongside our co-investors,” said Chandresh Iyer, General Partner of SixThirty Ventures.
“With the fundamental technology of the financial system being redefined, the need for a robust and reliable digital infrastructure is greater than ever. We supported Particula at the pre-seed stage as their initial investor, recognizing their ambitious vision and strong execution, and we firmly believe they are well-positioned to play a crucial role in shaping and scaling the entire digital asset class,” said Axel Roitzsch, General Partner of Vanagon.
“We see significant opportunities in asset tokenization. Particula, with its team and technology, is excellently positioned to further expand its leading market position in this growing market. We look forward to collaborating with the team and our co-investors.,” said Benjamin Krahmer, Managing Director of Futury Capital.
“The market for tokenized assets, especially in the fund sector, is growing rapidly. While this technology offers significant advantages—enhancing efficiency, transparency, and accessibility—it also introduces new challenges, including regulatory uncertainty, liquidity constraints, and compliance risks. Particula has directly addressed these concerns by developing a leading rating engine for institutional investors, enabling them to confidently assess and invest in the best digital assets. We are excited to support Particula on their journey and believe their solution will be crucial in shaping the future of tokenized finance,” said Jens Schleuniger, Managing Partner of TX Ventures.
