BEIJING, Nov. 18, 2024 — The “Antonio López y los Maestros del Realismo Español” art exhibition opened November 6th at Train Street in Beijing’s 798·751 Community, as part of Beijing Design Week’s Guest City program. Featuring 45 works by eight leading Spanish artists, the exhibition runs until December 15th.

Organized by the Spanish Embassy in China, in collaboration with the Spanish National Tourist Office and Instituto Cervantes, the exhibition also draws on the expertise of the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museo Nacional and Estudio de Antonio López y María Moreno, with support from Beijing Design Week and 798 Culture Technology Co., Ltd.

Antonio López, a seminal figure in Spanish art, renowned for his realistic depictions of urban scenes and portraits, is showcased alongside seven other contemporary realist masters. Their works, spanning diverse media, present a comprehensive overview of Spanish realist art.
