French Government Falls After No-Confidence Vote Against Prime Minister Barnier

A no-confidence vote passed in the French parliament on Wednesday, bringing down the government.

The motion secured 331 votes, surpassing the necessary 288.

Prime Minister Michel Barnier is anticipated to step down following the vote, only three months after assuming office.
