IDF Drone Strike Kills Hamas Commander Behind Oct. 7 Kibbutz Nir Oz Attack
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced the targeted killing of a senior Hamas commander in a drone strike.
Abd al-Hadi Sabah, the leader of the Oct. 7 attack on Kibbutz Nir Oz near the Gaza border, was eliminated Tuesday in the Western Khan Yunis Battalion.
The IDF, in a social media statement, confirmed the operation, conducted jointly with the Israel Security Agency (ISA).
Sabah, according to the agencies, was located in a shelter within a designated humanitarian zone in Khan Yunis, southern Gaza.
The agencies identified Sabah as a key figure in the Kibbutz Nir Oz incursion and a prominent leader in attacks against IDF forces.
“The IDF and ISA will continue operations against all terrorists involved in the October 7th massacre,” the statement declared.
The IDF emphasized employing “precise munitions, intelligence, and aerial surveillance” to minimize civilian harm.
Sabah’s role in the southern Israel attacks resulted in the deaths and capture of nearly half of Kibbutz Nir Oz’s 400 residents during the October 7th assault.
