Projections indicate that the Liberal Party of Canada will secure victory in the federal election, marking their fourth successive term in power.

The Liberal Party is currently under the leadership of Prime Minister Mark Carney, who succeeded Justin Trudeau after his resignation.

Late Monday figures showed the Liberals ahead with 137 parliamentary seats, compared to the Conservative Party’s 98 seats.

To secure a majority government, a party requires 172 seats.
