Reports indicate that Colombian Senator Miguel Uribe, a presidential hopeful, was shot in Bogotá on Saturday, according to the government and his campaign.
Uribe, 39, was reportedly attacked while holding a campaign rally in a public park. Sources say “armed subjects shot him in the back.”
His current condition remains unknown.
Uribe is a member of the Democratic Center party, a right-wing opposition group founded by former Colombian President Alvaro Uribe.
