Reports from Israeli Channel 12 News indicate that, amidst heightened tensions between Hezbollah and Israel, the Trump team has pledged to immediately lift all restrictions on military aid to Israel following his inauguration.

The promised removal of all military supply restrictions, starting on Trump’s first day, would enable Israel to replenish its supplies and overcome current limitations. The 60-day ceasefire aims to temporarily suspend hostilities until the new administration assumes office, allowing for a resumption of full military operations, unhindered by existing restrictions, if necessary.

On Thursday, according to two political sources speaking to Reuters, the U.S. ambassador to Lebanon presented a draft truce proposal to Lebanon’s Parliament Speaker, Nabih Berri, to end the fighting between Hezbollah and Israel, though details remain undisclosed.

Meanwhile, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) are intensifying military pressure in Lebanon, operating near the second line of villages to weaken Hezbollah’s capabilities, alongside airstrikes in Syria and Beirut’s Dahiya district.

An IDF spokesperson commented on the truce negotiations, stating, “The IDF’s mission is to dismantle terrorist infrastructure in southern Lebanon and ensure Hezbollah cannot threaten Israeli citizens.
