Sydney Stabbing Injures Four, Including Police Officer
Four individuals, including a police officer, sustained injuries in a violent stabbing incident.
According to authorities, officers were initially dispatched to the scene of a car accident at an intersection in Engadine, Australia on Sunday morning local time.
Upon arrival, police reported finding a 55-year-old man, who appeared to be suffering from stab wounds, fleeing the crash site.
Police took the man into custody and deployed a Taser during the arrest.
Authorities stated that during the interaction, a male police officer sustained a “serious” laceration to his left wrist.
Police reported that the woman, who was the passenger in the crashed vehicle, was found with stab wounds.
A fourth person was also injured, and police indicated that their involvement in the incident was unclear.
All four individuals received medical attention from paramedics at the scene.
Authorities are currently investigating the incident.
