REAL-TIME data from the Emergency Operations Center-Task Force showed that Bacolod City recorded anew zero coronavirus disease (Covid-19) cases on Saturday, March 12.This develooment was disclosed by Mayor Evelio Leonardia after getting a daily update from the EOC-TF.It was the second time this year that the city registered zero cases for the day. The first was on February 21.The first time that the city had zero additional Covid infections for the day was in March 2021.Leonardia thanked Bacolodnons for their continued compliance to minimum health protocols despite the de-escalation of the city under Alert Level 1 with 38 other cities and provinces in the country out of more than 2,000 local government units.Alert Level is the lowest Covid alert classification established by the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) so far.He also reiterated his call to “live with the virus and adjust to it accordingly and cautiously” as Alert Level 1 ushers in the new normal.”This is one of the reasons why Bacolod is one of the 39 LGUs in the Philippines to be deescalated to Alert Level 1 by the IATF,” Leonardia said.”Let me thank our people for their cooperation and support. If we work together, we can do and achieve more,” he added. (EPN with PR)
