THE Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) noted a decrease in the apprehension of individuals violating the health protocols last week, Lieutenant Colonel Lester Leada said Thursday, October 14, 2021.

Leada, who is the head of the BCPO operations branch, said from October 4 to 10, BCPO was only able to apprehend 949 violators while 5,088 were arrested from September 6 to 3.

Of the 949 violators last week, 251 were caught for disobeying the curfew, 264 had no face mask and 86 were not on social distance of at least a meter, police records showed.

It added that some 161 violated the partial liquor ban and the rest were reprimanded for having no face shields.

Leada explained that the foul weather last week contributed to the meager apprehension of health violators in Bacolod.

He said they were also busy preparing for the arrival of Philippine National Police chief General Guillermo Eleazar last week.

Leada assured that they will resume their intensified apprehension against health protocol violators.
