AFTER a couple of months, employees at the Negros Occidental Provincial Capitol in Bacolod City will again be working five days a week starting June.Provincial Administrator lawyer Rayfrando Diaz II said the work-from-home scheme every Friday will be terminated effective June 1, 2022.Diaz explained that they are doing this to normalize the Capitol work force and to expedite all the processes considering that the province and the rest of the country are facing a lot of difficulties amid the rising prices of commodities.”We have so much to address and we need everybody five days a week,” Diaz said.He noted that they are also trying to comply with the Commission on Audit Circular 2020-006 that requires the local government units (LGUs) to conduct a one-time cleansing of their respective properties, plants and equipment owned by the government.”We were given a three-month deadline as well like other LGUs throughout the country and we can do that (faster) if we return to the five-day work week,” the provincial administrator said.
