EFFECTIVE December 1, 2021, the provincial government-run Mambukal Resort in Murcia town, Negros Occidental will be opened to local tourists.

Provincial Administrator lawyer Rayfrando Diaz II said tourists who want to stay at the resort need to book at the resort’s office located at the Provincial Capitol Lagoon and Park in Bacolod City.

Diaz said they are still studying to implement an online booking to make it easier for tourists.

However, he said the resort will only be accommodating fully vaccinated tourists to ensure the safety of everyone and prevent any problems.

He appealed to tourists to follow health protocols when entering the premises of the resort.

The Capitol-operated tourist facility was converted into a quarantine facility for government employees who tested positive for coronavirus.

The facility currently has five patients that are nearing the end of their isolation.
