MISUNDERSTANDING allegedly caused the fatal stabbing of an alleged illegal drug personality in Pontevedra town, Negros Occidental on Saturday, June 4, 2022.Pontevedra town police chief Captain Hancel Lumandaz identified the fatality as Boylin Dela Torre, 45, of Purok Masagana in the town’s Barangay Miranda.The suspect who Lumandaz identified as Bobby Casimero, 45, and the victim’s neighbor was arrested at his residence in a followup operation a few hours after the incident.Investigation showed that the two were having a drink when they argued which eventually triggered Casimero to stab Dela Torre and fled.Dela Torre was found lying on a pavement along the national highway of the town’s Barangay Recreo, Lumandaz said.The victim was immediately rushed to the Don Salvador Benidecto Memorial Hospital but died while being treated, he said.
