FOUR unidentified men allegedly abducted a sports game agent along Adelfa Street in Bacolod City at about 5 a.m. Wednesday, June 1, 2022.Major Leo Estopa, commander of Police Station 6, identified the victim as Ricky Vonn Apuhin alias “Daboy,” 34, of JR Torres Avenue in the city’s Barangay Singcang-Airport.Investigation conducted by Patrolman Rol Rowen Alson showed that Apuhin was about to board his black Hyundai Accent car with his friend Bebien Jabien when the suspects arrived on a maroon Toyota Innova.A video captured by a surveillance camera showed that three of the suspects accosted Apuhin to his car while the other one returned to their vehicle, Estopa said.He said the suspect’s vehicle went towards north of Adelfa Street and the other three and Apuhin headed to the opposite direction on board the victim’s vehicle with plate number GAE 4009.Jabien was left behind, Estopa also said, adding that the former failed to describe the suspects as they were wearing masks and hoods.As of yesterday, Station 6 policemen are still at loss as to the identity of the suspects and the motive for the alleged abduction.Estopa noted that Apuhin’s live-in partner Jean Diane Guinalon told them that the victim did not receive any threat prior to the incident.She also said that she has no idea if Apuhin owes someone any amount of money, Estopa said.The police official said that they will go back to the area where the victim went before the alleged abduction including a billiard hall in front of the West Negros University for possible leads.In a related development, the victim was left behind by the suspects somewhere in Bago City past 7 p.m. Wednesday.Apuhin said he rode a taxi going back to Barangay Cabug in Bacolod where they left his vehicle although it was not clear how they reached Bago City.
