SSS runs after non-compliant employers in San Carlos City

THE Social Security System (SSS) has issued 10 more written notices to delinquent employers on its third Run After Contribution Evaders (Race) Campaign in Negros Occidental on Tuesday, April 26.These employers were reminded of their legal obligation of remitting the SSS and Employee’s Compensation (EC) contributions of their employees in accordance with Republic Act No. 11199 or the Social Security Act of 2018The Race-subjected employers were given 15 days to comply with the order, otherwise SSS will be compelled to file appropriate criminal and civil cases against them before the City Prosecutor’s Office.Based on records, their delinquency consisting of unpaid contributions and accumulated penalties amounted to P 1.7 million.“SSS would like to clarify that these employers are not our enemies. They are our partners in providing social security. That is why we are offering options for them to conveniently settle their contribution delinquencies through the Pandemic Relief and Restructuring Programs,” SSS Vice President for Visayas West 1 Division Lilani Benedian said.The PRRP 2: Condonation of Penalties on SS Contributions may still be availed by delinquent employers until May 19, 2022 while PRRP 3, otherwise known as the Enhanced Installment Payment Program, offers a more flexible payment scheme ranging from nine to 60 months, depending on the delinquency amount, will run until November 22 of this year.Interested employers are advised to visit their respective branch Account Officers to avail of these programs.For more information on the Pandemic Relief and Restructuring Programs 2 and 3, visit these links: PRRP 2- https://bit.ly/3KEuvGA, PRRP 3- https://bit.ly/3KAdXiX.“We have high hopes for our employers since we used a diplomatic approach in reaching out to them.
