Lawrence C. Marsh Will Present at the 2025 Midwest Economics Association Conference

Crescent Springs, Kentucky – February 5, 2026 – Esteemed economist and Professor Emeritus Lawrence C. Marsh will return to the Midwest Economics Association (MEA) Conference, which runs March 21–23, 2025 at the Kansas City Marriott Country Club Plaza, situated at 4445 Main St, Kansas City, Missouri.
Professor Marsh’s abstract, “New Monetary Policy Tools Needed to Stop the Reverse Money Flow Suppressing Productivity and Economic Growth,” has been approved for presentation at the MEA’s 89th Annual Meeting. His work focuses on tackling key challenges in modern monetary policy and proposing innovative strategies to boost economic growth and productivity.
A veteran participant in MEA conferences, Professor Marsh has presented numerous papers over the years, offering valuable insights to the field of economics. His commitment to advancing economic research is widely recognized, and his work continues to influence policymakers, academics, and industry professionals.
Alongside his presentation, Professor Marsh will share his latest book, Money Flow in a Dynamic Economy, with conference attendees. The book explores critical economic dynamics and is expected to generate significant interest among MEA members and participants.
Lawrence C. Marsh is Professor Emeritus in the Department of Economics at the University of Notre Dame, where he dedicated 30 years to teaching undergraduate and graduate economics and served as director of the Ph.D. program for 13 years. His mentorship has shaped countless economic scholars who now hold key roles in central banks and government institutions worldwide. He has also served as a visiting professor at the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business and Avila University.
Beyond his academic contributions, Professor Marsh co-founded the Midwest Econometrics Group (MEG) in 1990—an organization that has hosted annual meetings for over three decades, bringing together global researchers to discuss advancements in econometrics.
