This alliance establishes a formal channel for health-tech firms from Southeast Europe to launch, industrialise, and grow within the UAE, with subsequent entry points to the GCC and African markets.

A strategic collaboration has been announced between the Roma Entrepreneurship Development Initiative (REDI) and its Balkan Impact Network and 360Disruption, a platform based in the UAE for commercialising health innovations. This partnership will create a defined innovation corridor linking Southeast Europe to the UAE, with routes that also lead into GCC and African markets.

Under this agreement, REDI’s Balkan Impact Network will be responsible for finding, evaluating, and presenting promising health-tech startups and scale-ups from the region. It will also manage incubation and co-development programs designed specifically for the UAE market and organise delegations to provide Balkan businesses with direct links to commercialisation routes in the UAE.

360Disruption will serve as the local implementation partner, offering services such as structuring market entry, guiding companies through regulations, facilitating industrialisation (including local production and software development), and providing connections to distribution channels throughout the GCC and other emerging markets.

The project’s scope extends past initial market access. It assists companies in building a comprehensive local operation in the UAE, which encompasses licensing, business setup, and, when relevant, manufacturing and development functions. Focus areas include advanced diagnostics, AI-powered healthcare solutions, medical technologies, and longevity and regenerative health. The goal is to stimulate employment, enable technology transfer, and build a high-value healthcare sector that supports UAE national strategies like Make It in the Emirates and In-Country Value (ICV) goals.

This new Balkan corridor enhances 360Disruption’s current portfolio of global alliances, which includes work with Oasis Diagnostics, Oludent Health, K Pharmaceuticals, and Kimera Labs. Combined, these collaborations create a diverse, multi-regional stream of technologies prepared for implementation and industrialisation in the UAE.
