Changchun Tourism Promotion Events Successfully Held Overseas, Singapore and Hong Kong Highlight “Four Seasons of Splendor”

Singapore, Singapore Feb 6, 2026  – The Changchun Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism, together with Phoenix Satellite TV, has recently concluded a series of overseas tourism promotions titled “Phoenix Go Glocal — Four Seasons of Splendor in Changchun” in Singapore and Hong Kong. These events were designed to present Changchun’s all-season travel experiences to audiences in Southeast Asia and the Greater Bay Area, foster deeper regional tourism partnerships, and elevate the city’s global image as China’s famous northern “City of Spring.”

Singapore Stop: Ice and Snow Enchant the Lion City, Forging New Collaborative Ties

On February 3, the Changchun tourism promotion conference took place at Singapore’s Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Centre. Distinguished attendees included Zhou He, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Changchun Municipal Committee and Secretary of the Political and Legal Affairs Commission; Zhang Huiyong, Party Secretary and Director of the Changchun Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism; Zhang Tong, Vice President of Business Development at Phoenix Satellite TV Group; and Wong Yew Hong, Chairman of the Outbound Travel Committee of Singapore’s National Association of Travel Agents (NATAS). They were joined by approximately 50 representatives from government bodies, tourism associations, airlines, and industry partners.

In his speech, Zhou He highlighted the role of culture and tourism as a vital conduit for cultural exchange. He expressed his desire for the event to enhance collaboration between Changchun and Singapore, facilitate the joint creation of premium cross-border travel itineraries, and combine Singapore’s dynamism with Changchun’s scenic beauty to unlock fresh cooperative prospects. Wong Yew Hong reciprocated by stating his anticipation that the promotion would act as a springboard for substantive, multi-faceted tourism cooperation between the two locations.

Centered on the “Four Seasons of Splendor in Changchun” theme, Director Zhang Huiyong provided an extensive overview of the city’s unique seasonal highlights, placing special emphasis on its winter tourism assets. These featured five major ski resorts, 52 ski slopes, a 1.56-million-square-meter Ice and Snow World, and over 200 winter sports events and folk cultural activities. The “Learn Skiing in Changchun” brand is increasingly gaining prominence worldwide. Customized travel packages created for the Singaporean market were also introduced during the event. Hainan Airlines detailed its flight connections between Singapore and Changchun, enhancing travel convenience for international visitors.

Hong Kong Stop: Powder Snow Enthralls the Metropolis, Partnering for Global Reach

The promotional tour proceeded on February 5 at the Phoenix Satellite TV headquarters in Hong Kong. Close to 100 guests were present, including Zhou He; Zhang Huiyong; Ma Yuk Man, Vice Chairman of the China Tourism Association of Hong Kong and a Member of the Jilin Provincial Committee of the CPPCC; and Siu Fai Ho, Secretary General of the Hong Kong Ski Association, alongside delegates from tourism, sports, and cultural circles.

Addressing the audience, Zhou He warmly invited Hong Kong citizens to visit Changchun and voiced his aspiration to bolster cooperation in combined “ice-snow and summer resort tourism.” Ma Yuk Man pointed out the highly complementary nature of Changchun’s and Hong Kong’s tourism resources, adding that Hong Kong’s extensive global connections could significantly aid Changchun’s entry onto the world tourism platform. Siu Fai Ho underscored skiing’s potential as a catalyst for more profound collaboration in sports events, athlete training, and joint tourism marketing between the two areas.

Director Zhang Huiyong offered a vibrant portrayal of Changchun as a destination with diverse attractions—a city steeped in history and culture, a key industrial center, and an eco-friendly place to live—while also cementing its emerging status as the “Capital of Powder Snow.”

Linking the Globe, Celebrating the Seasons in Unison

The two promotion events successfully communicated Changchun’s fundamental tourism appeal of “Four Seasons of Splendor” and also created functional platforms for cooperation with tourism industry representatives in Singapore and Hong Kong. They underscored Changchun’s effective conversion of its icy “cold resources” into a vibrant “hot economy” and its dedicated pursuit of growth in international tourism markets.

Supported by better air links and increasingly robust cross-border partnerships, Changchun is progressively moving onto a wider international tourism platform. It continues to display its unique seasonal scenery and cultural wealth, thereby contributing renewed energy to cultural exchanges and mutually advantageous development between China and regions abroad.
