Helsinki, Uusimaa May 29, 2026 – The Wildz Group has officially declared its intention to be a significant participant in Finland’s regulated market by submitting its application for a full iGaming licence to the National Police Board on March 01, 2026.
A Finnish pedigree
Wildz Group was established in 2019 by a collective of prominent Finnish experts, with its primary brand, Wildz, soon followed by additional MGA-licensed brands.
Founded under the leadership of Finnish industry authority Lasse Rantala, Wildz Group has since thrived with CEO Sam Brown at the helm, who took over leadership in 2023. Rantala continues to be an active member of the Wildz Group Board.
Lasse Rantala, a Board Member at Wildz Group, stated: “The transition to a regulated market framework in Finland aligns with broader iGaming trends as nations aim to provide the highest level of player protection. We are confident in our ability to offer exceptional attention to detail within this market, as demonstrated by the stringent requirements we have met and maintained for our MGA, Ontario, and German licences.”
Sam Brown, CEO of Wildz Group, commented: “Securing a Finnish licence represents a natural progression for Wildz Group. We understand customer expectations for online entertainment products and possess a proven history of delivering world-class experiences across our global portfolio. We are adept at balancing entertainment, responsible gaming, compliance, and security.
Brown added: “We are pleased with the pragmatic and progressive approach taken in developing the latest Finnish Regulations and believe we are well-positioned to serve Finnish players under this new framework,” he concluded.
Wildz Group has a track record of success in regulated markets and recognizes the importance of localized product deployment. This success reinforces the company’s confidence that it will be granted a licence to operate in Finland when the new regulatory regime commences in July 2027.
The company also assures its current customers across all operating jurisdictions that the licence application process will not impact their experience on the platforms during its progression, and that they will be notified of any changes.
