Don Michael Horton Jr. (known as Alreddy Reddy), the Birmingham-born songwriter famed for his natural red hair, has entered into a new agreement with the music division of the MBE label. The multi-talented creator aims to fulfill his promise to continue sharing his life story with the world using all his talents.

With melodic hooks, raw transparency, and a distinctive blend of hip-hop, gospel, and inspirational rap, Reddy’s music resonates with both kids and adults. His signature catchphrase “OnNigh!” and his unforgettable life story have become part of his identity, but it is his message of transformation that truly sets him apart.

Growing up as a Black child in rural Alabama, being unique and different, presented early challenges for Reddy, but his way with words consistently guided him out of trouble. Attending six elementary and middle schools before the age of 12, Reddy learned to face tough times with patience and resilience.

His God-given abilities led him to his life’s calling in ministry, shielding him from each tragedy he narrowly avoided by God’s grace until a fateful night. Reddy was ultimately tested with a life-changing 15-year sentence for self-defense. This moment and some tragic losses became the turning point that shaped the man he decided to become, leading him to surrender his life to God.

In 2004, following his grandfather’s passing, Reddy fully surrendered to God’s call, resolving to live unashamedly, use his testimony, and lead this generation with boldness and truth. He has been releasing new music to spread his message. This year alone, Reddy has released two of his most intimate and impactful singles: “Jesus Is the Best Thing” and “Last 1 on the Floor.”
