(SeaPRwire) – The Eduardo Garza T. Innovation and Entrepreneurship HUB – Tec de Monterrey is designed to accelerate the creation, connection, validation, and scaling of high-impact solutions. The HUB anticipates connecting over 700 startups in the next five years.
Nuevo Leon, Mexico May 28, 2026 – Tecnológico de Monterrey has inaugurated the Eduardo Garza T. Innovation and Entrepreneurship HUB, a new platform established to accelerate science- and technology-based startups, foster collaboration among key ecosystem stakeholders, and enhance Monterrey’s standing as a leading city for innovation and entrepreneurship.
The HUB aims to become one of Latin America’s largest platforms for scientific and technological entrepreneurship. It is a component of the Monterrey Innovation District and was conceived as a space where entrepreneurs, companies, investors, experts, funds, incubators, and strategic partners can unite with the common goal of transforming knowledge into high-impact solutions.
Differentiating itself from other entrepreneurial spaces, the HUB employs a “hub of hubs” model by incorporating specialized capabilities as an extension of its operations. This strategy broadens access to capital, knowledge, and networks, while simultaneously shortening the timeframes for validating, developing, and scaling new solutions.
Over its initial five years of operation, the HUB projects hosting more than 150 startups annually and generating approximately 1,000 direct jobs. It is positioned to be a significant driver for the knowledge economy in northern Mexico and Latin America.
“Entrepreneurial culture is inherent to us. Today, we aim to elevate it. As a nation, we must expedite the shift towards ventures with higher added value, which is why we are promoting the Monterrey Innovation District – a location where research is conducted in partnership with industry and laboratories to develop products ready for market. This space is accessible to faculty, students, and alumni of Tecnológico de Monterrey, as well as members of other universities and the wider community. We anticipate supporting over 700 startups in the next five years and contributing to the creation of more than a thousand direct jobs, thereby becoming a vital engine for the knowledge economy in Mexico and Latin America,” stated David Garza, Executive President of Tecnológico de Monterrey Education Group.
“To achieve sustainable and shared prosperity, we require increased innovation and entrepreneurship. Knowledge must connect with talent and tangible opportunities to build solutions that benefit people, organizations, and the city. This is precisely what this HUB represents: a space where ideas find a community dedicated to transforming them into impact,” commented Juan Pablo Murra Lascurain, Rector of Tecnológico de Monterrey.
Infrastructure to Accelerate Solutions
The HUB encompasses 8,300 square meters of operational space, designed to support various stages of the entrepreneurial journey, supported by an investment of 662 million pesos. Its facilities include:
18 startup garages for entrepreneurial teams.
Over 600 square meters of coworking space with a capacity for up to 60 startups.
A Master Stage capable of seating over 200 individuals.
Two specialized laboratories: the Prototyping Lab and the BioWorkshop BSL-2.
Two hangars exceeding 600 square meters in size.
More than 400 square meters in The Commons designated for strategic partners.
With this infrastructure, the HUB addresses a primary challenge within the entrepreneurial ecosystem: collaboration. By bringing together talent, infrastructure, partners, and opportunities, it supports science- and technology-based startups – in fields such as biotechnology, advanced manufacturing, and artificial intelligence – from their initial validation through to growth and scaling.
Partners to Scale Innovation
The Eugenio Garza Lagüera Institute for Entrepreneurship and other partners, including investment funds, incubators, accelerators, and specialized service providers, will play a crucial role in the HUB’s operational model. Their involvement will enhance access to capital, strengthen validation and scaling processes, and facilitate the co-creation of solutions within the ecosystem.
The inauguration of the Eduardo Garza T. Innovation and Entrepreneurship HUB signifies a further step in solidifying Monterrey as a hub for scientific, technological, and entrepreneurial innovation. The HUB accelerates projects with the potential to effect transformative change and contribute to economic, social, and technological development, extending from Monterrey to Mexico and the global stage.
