Manchester, United Kingdom Oct 8, 2025  – A Manchester-based businesswoman, whose mission is to ensure public sector spending benefits local community residents, is celebrating securing a significant project with a regional transport authority.

Dr. Felicity Heathcote-Marcz, 34, from Greater Manchester, is participating in a collaborative team with Steer Consultancy. They will provide new insights to support West Yorkshire’s upcoming Local Transport Plan. She is recognized locally in the industry for her prior role as a guest lecturer at Alliance Manchester Business School (University of Manchester), where she managed the Manchester Ethnography Network for over three years.

An experienced research professional and the founder of the research consultancy Bare Analysis, she was enlisted by the West Yorkshire Combined Authority. Her objective is to help them innovate local transport strategy, ensuring it is user-centric and reflects what real people desire from their local services. Felicity’s role involves moving beyond data analysis to understand true needs for transport improvement, drawing on immersive human experience research.

Dr. Felicity stated: “I am delighted to be supporting WYCA and Steer with this work, and we are well underway with focus groups and ethnographic interviews to understand the priorities of West Yorkshire residents and their reactions to the policies underpinning these principles. We are working diligently to enable residents across all communities, including those traditionally hard to reach, to contribute their views on the future of transport services in their area.”

Dr. Felicity established Bare Analysis in 2023, adopting an essentialist approach. This focuses on delivering simple, fundamental truths that inform decisions, leading to win-win solutions for both service users and organizations. The name ‘Bare Analysis’ was inspired by this essentialist philosophy, alongside a trip to Ireland’s stunning wild Beara Peninsula, where the stark beauty of the landscape prompted reflection on life’s essentials and importance.

She has collaborated with clients across a wide array of contexts to drive positive change. Her work has guided strategic and design modifications for local and central government, transport providers, NHS and healthcare companies, banking and e-commerce clients, and asset management companies/developers.
