(SeaPRwire) – The past decade in business has been marked by dynamism. Amid new development goals, an era of rapid technological innovation, and ongoing globalization, the way countries around the world conduct commerce is changing fast. Per the World Economic Forum, Asian companies in particular are rising to become global leaders in sectors including AI and climate tech, driving substantial economic growth across the region. To identify the top publicly traded companies leading global business, TIME partnered with data analytics firm Statista to launch the first edition of World’s Growth Leaders—a ranking designed to pinpoint firms with strong growth, solid market performance, and stable financial health.
In recent years, analysts have forecast robust growth for the Asia-Pacific region; both Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley have predicted that economic gains here will outpace those of the U.S. and Europe, fueled by domestic demand, industrialization efforts, and trade and investment diversification—and this is largely reflected in available data. Geopolitical conflict in the Middle East could pose a risk of slowing this growth, while the region has also seen an upward trajectory, using oil revenues to expand industries beyond fossil fuel production.
Methodology: How TIME and Statista Identified the World’s Growth Leaders of 2026
Leading this year’s ranking is India-based Lloyds Enterprises, a diversified holding company and investment platform that holds stakes in Lloyds Metals and Energy (ranked 24th), Lloyds Realty Developers, and Lloyds Engineering Works. In 2025, Lloyds spun off its fast-growing real estate business through a demerger. India’s real estate sector attracted $8.5 billion in institutional investment in 2025. Some industry experts have noted that demergers are becoming a growing trend among Indian conglomerates, as these large corporations work to develop strategies to act quickly, cut costs, and stay competitive in specialized sectors.
The category with the largest number of top-performing companies is Resource Generation and Infrastructure—encompassing firms that mine precious metals such as gold or energy sources like natural gas and oil, as well as companies that provide essential services like water to communities. Firms in the top 20 within this category include Indonesia-based Bumi Resources Minerals (ranked 7th), Canada-based Headwater Exploration (ranked 12th), and Australia-based Emerald Resources (ranked 13th) and Vysarn (ranked 19th).
The fastest-growing U.S. company on the list is, perhaps unsurprisingly, Nvidia (ranked 16th), which manufactures specialty chips and other computing infrastructure that places it at the epicenter of the AI boom. Last year, it became the first company in history to reach a $5 trillion market valuation.
