Bacolod cops get awards

FOUR policemen from Bacolod City were recognized by the Police Regional Office (PRO)-6 for their significant accomplishments and dedication to duty rendered in their respective areas of responsibility.PRO-6 Director Brigadier General Flynn Dongbo led the awarding rites held at Camp Martin Delgado in Iloilo City on April 11.Awarded with Medalya ng Kagalingan (PNP Merit Medal) were Major Joery Puerto and Captain Paul Vincent Pendon, commanders of Police Stations 8 and 2, respectively.Also awarded were Corporals Rommel Cometa and Rolan Memes of the same police stations.Both Puerto and Memes were awarded for the successful arrest of a high value individual involved in illegal drug activity through a buy-bust operation in Barangay Singcang Airport this month.Like them, Pendon and Cometa were also recognized for a successful anti-illegal drug operation that resulted in the arrest of two suspects and the recovery of more than 37 grams of shabu at Barangay 2, Bacolod City last March.Both officers, Puerto and Pendon, are consistent awardees in PRO-6 and Bacolod City Police Office (BCPo) for their services.BCPO Director Colonel Thomas Joseph Martir lauded the accomplishments of his personnel and he urged them to continue to manifest a heart of service and duty.Martir also reminded to make Bacolodnons safe and secure and lead their personnel with degree of efficiency and professionalism as public servants.*
