Fisherfolk association in San Carlos avail basic entrepreneurship seminar

MEMBERS of the Patuka and Kanipa-an Fisherfolk Association have gained boost through the basic entrepreneurship seminar of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) at the Barangay Punao Covered Court in San Carlos City on Friday, May 13.At least 26 members of the organization benefited from the seminar conducted through the agency’s Negosyo Center in San Carlos City.They were taught about the principles and techniques on how to do business using limited resources, and even utilize them for value adding.Melanie Bayabos, junior business counselor of DTI-Negosyo Center, said the activity could help improve the livelihood of the beneficiaries as they were given strategies on how to do business especially with the ongoing pandemic.The activity is aimed at boosting and developing livelihood through the DTI-Negosyo Center’s program for micro, small and medium enterprise (MSMEs), she added.Another seminar will be held at Barangay Buluangan in the city on May 31.
