ACTRESS Heart Evangelista arrived in Bacolod City Monday, April 4, to campaign for her husband, Sorsogon Governor Francis “Chiz” Escudero, who is running for senator in the May 2022 polls.Evangelista met Provincial Consultant and Bacolod City mayoralty bet Alfredo “Albee” Benitez with Bacolod Lone District Representative Greg Gasataya and other members of Team Asenso at the L’Fisher Hotel.She guested in various radio programs and met her fans in some malls in the city and bought some local goodies.Evangelista said Bacolod City is one of the first areas where she held a campaign sortie for Escudero, whom she married seven years ago.Despite that Escudero is always on the top slot in the surveys among the senatorial bets, Evangelista said she want to travel around the Philippines and share with everyone the achievements and dreams of her husband for the country.”Even if he does not want me to campaign but I still do these sorties because it’s really different to tell others who he really is,” the celebrity painter said.Evangelista said Escudero deserves to be known as her husband and that she is very proud of what he achieved.”I was blown away by his intelligence and yet he’s a very humble person,” she described Escudero.
