FRENCH warrior Guillaume Lorenzo faces journeyman Jose Ocampo in an eight-round super lightweight contest in Sanman Promotions’ latest boxing show on June 8 in Polomolok, South Cotabato.Guillame, who’s promoted by Sanman Promotions, is looking to bounce back after losing his last fight in France. He lost to Mohamed Suleiman Kartoum via split decision last year. The 28-year-old French was riding a five-fight winning streak, in which four of the five bouts were fought in the Philippines.Ocampo should be a tough test for Lorenzo because he brings in a lot of experience.Ocampo is a former World Boxing Organization (WBO) Oriental lightweight champion. He has fought regional champions Pablo Martin Barboza, Komsan Polsan, Rey Labao, Allan Tanada, Anthony Marcial and Ekawat Narin.Ocampo is currently on a five-fight slump. He’s coming off a split decision defeat to Jay Ar Inson last year.Lorenzo is 7-4 with four knockouts, while Ocampo is 20-14-1 with 13 knockouts.Meanwhile, unbeaten prospect Ian Sampan (5-0, 5 KOs) trades leathers with Pablito Canada (7-20-5, KO).
