Man hurt in stabbing in Bacolod

A 27-YEAR-OLD man was injured after he was stabbed in Purok San Jose 1, Barangay Sum-ag, Bacolod City Wednesday evening, January 27, 2021.

Police identified the victim as Erickson Sermon of Purok Villa Esperanza, Barangay Tangub.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Ariel Pico, spokesperson of Bacolod City Police Office, said the victim was mauled by Artemio Delgado, 23, along with his two siblings Peter, 20, and Markly, 18, all residents of Purok San Jose 2, Barangay Sum-ag around 7 p.m.

He said Artemio stabbed him on his left leg using a battle sword. He took a bottle of beer and hit him on his head then stabbed him again on his back.

The victim sustained multiple wounds. He was brought to the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital, while the suspects fled.

Pico said investigators of Police Station 9 are still conducting further investigation to determine the motive and to arrest the suspects.
