PARRICIDE and murder charges were filed yesterday, May 11, against a teenager and her boyfriend for allegedly stabbing her mother to death at La Castellana town, Negros Occidental.Town police chief Captain Rhojn Darell Nigos said Tessie Esparagoza, 44, of Purok Langka in the town’s Barangay Robles died on the spot from a stab wound on her chest.Nigos said that at about 3 a.m. on Tuesday, May 10, the suspects, both 17-years-old, whose names are being withheld for being minors, are now in the custody of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).Based on the suspects’ accounts, Esparagoza was sleeping along with her children in their house when the suspects arrived.It was not established who among them really stabbed the victim as both of them owned the crimed, Nigos said, adding that the two were possibly mad because Esparagoza is against their relationship.He said that the male suspect harbored anger against the victim, who allegedly had their baby aborted.But thorough investigation showed that the victim’s daughter had never been pregnant at all, Nigos said.
