A TEENAGER was arrested by the police in Pontevedra town, Negros Occidental for allegedly possessing a gun and P33,000 worth of suspected shabu at about 6 p.m. Monday, May 16.Police identified the suspect as Carl Angelo Santiso, 18, of Sitio Canonoy in Barangay Miranda, Hinigaran town.Policemen responded to a call that a traffic accident occurred at Barangay 1 and when Santiso, who was driving a motorcycle at that time, was asked for his identification card, a sachet containing the banned substance fell.When his belongings were checked, another sachet of the contraband, a .38 caliber pen gun, and two cartridges of the same caliber were recovered from his belt bag, police records showed.Meanwhile, in Victorias City, Gil Quijano, 39, of Fermont Village at the city’s Barangay 7, was arrested for alleged illegal drug possession at about 6 p.m. also on Monday.Quijano was arrested through a buy-bust operation at Sitio Bat-os in Barangay 6 with nine sachets of suspected shabu valued at P10,200 and weighing about 1.5 grams.
