Palo Alto, California, April 16, 2026 — Punky Tiger Labs has today released verified benchmark data for NYMPH AI, a 4.5-billion-parameter model supported by more than 36 AI patent applications submitted to the USPTO. Testing covered 11 benchmarks, evaluated over 19,000 data points, recorded zero errors, and was conducted under controlled lab conditions between April 14 and 15, 2026.

NYMPH AI performs on par with GPT-4o — a model with over 200 billion parameters run on datacenter infrastructure — for code generation (HumanEval scores of 90.24% versus 90.20%) and mathematical reasoning (GSM8K scores of 92.65% versus roughly 93%). It outperforms GPT-4o in instruction following, with an IFEval score of 87.29% compared to around 84%. The closest model in its size bracket — Microsoft’s Phi-3.5, at 3.8 billion parameters — earns a 62.8% code generation score, while NYMPH AI scores 90.24%, a 27-point gap.

This marks the first time a company has matched state-of-the-art AI models using a local device with a model of this scale.
