(SeaPRwire) –   On Tuesday, the State Department introduced a redesigned passport featuring President Donald Trump’s likeness. This move is part of a broader effort by the Administration to highlight Trump on commemorative items for the country’s 250th anniversary and to associate his name and image with various federal programs and buildings.

Design previews provided to TIME show the President’s face rendered in blue and white, set against the text of the Declaration of Independence, with his signature appearing in gold underneath. Another page in the passport displays John Trumbull’s iconic 1819 painting, “Declaration of Independence,” which shows the founding fathers at the document’s signing.

“In celebration of America’s 250th anniversary this July, the State Department is preparing a limited release of specially designed U.S. Passports to mark this historic milestone,” State Department spokesperson Tommy Pigott told TIME. “These documents will include custom artwork and upgraded visuals while retaining the security standards that make U.S. Passports among the most secure in the world.”

According to a department official, there will be no additional cost for these limited-edition passports. “The updated designs will be available to any U.S. citizen applying for a passport during the rollout, continuing as long as supplies last,” the official noted. They dismissed previous reports suggesting only 25,000 would be made, though they did not provide a specific production figure.

“These passports will be available exclusively at the Washington Passport Agency,” the official added.

The Bulwark was the first to report on the new passports, while the design images were initially published by Fox News.

The exterior of the new passports will also see changes. On the current cover, “Passport” is printed in gold above a bald eagle from the U.S. seal, with “United States of America” in smaller text below. The new layout reverses this, placing “United States of America” in larger text at the top and “Passport” further down.

The back cover will feature the 1777 American flag, with the number “250” placed inside the circle of 13 stars representing the original colonies.

An official told TIME that the passports are expected to be released in conjunction with the U.S. semiquincentennial in July.

“COMING SOON: Limited-edition U.S. passports to honor the 250th anniversary of American independence,” the State Department posted on X later Tuesday. The post included a graphic featuring the new front cover, a stars-and-stripes themed race car, the U.S. Capitol, the Washington Monument, and an image of a shirtless man in a combat stance with hand wraps.

The passport release is part of a wider series of events for the nation’s 250th birthday, which includes other memorabilia—such as gold coins featuring Trump—and events like a Grand Prix on the National Mall and a UFC match on the White House south lawn.

Outside of the anniversary festivities, Trump has sought to place his name and likeness on various government assets during his presidency, ranging from a proposed class of battleships and the Kennedy Center to national park passes and new “gold card” visas.
