TIME and Statista Unveil Methodology for Arabia’s Growth Leaders of 2026
(SeaPRwire) – TIME, in collaboration with Statista, a premier global source for market and consumer data, has released its first-ever Arabia’s Growth Leaders list. This quantitative research identifies 250 firms that are defining the contemporary Gulf region. The following explains the selection process for the honorees. The “Arabia’s Growth Leaders of 2026” ranking was developed from an extensive analysis aimed at pinpointing the highest-achieving publicly listed companies in the GCC nations (Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates). The evaluation rests on three key criteria: • Growth Performance • Financial Stability • Stock Performance Growth Performance, the initial criterion, was measured with information from Statista’s revenue database, which holds five-year company growth figures. Eligibility required companies to be based in one of the GCC countries, be publicly traded, and show significant revenue growth over the previous five years. The assessment took into account both relative growth and the consistency of growth over time. The second criterion, Financial Stability, was examined by reviewing company profitability and applying established metrics like the Piotroski F-Score and Altman Z-Score, which indicate a firm’s overall fiscal soundness and bankruptcy risk. For businesses in the banking, insurance, and REIT sectors, industry-specific key performance indicators were used to assess financial stability. The final dimension, Stock Performance, was judged on several KPIs that highlight a company’s appeal as a stock investment. This analysis considered the average annual growth rate, recent returns, performance relative to the broader market, and stock volatility over the preceding five-year period. After collection and assessment, the data was combined and weighted using a scoring model. The scores from all three dimensions were summed with equal weighting to produce a final ranking score out of a possible 100 points. The top 250 companies with the highest scores were recognized as “Arabia’s Growth Leaders of 2026” by TIME and Statista.
