64 apply for PNP non-uniformed positions

SOME 64 applicants for vacant non-uniformed personnel (NUP) positions at the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (Nocppo) took their written mental ability test at the at Kanla-on Hall of Camp Alfredo M. Montelibano Sr. in Bacolod City on Thursday, June 2, 2022.Noccpo Acting Director Colonel Leo Pamittan said the applicants will vie for 12 vacant positions which include Computer Operator I and II, Communications Equipment Operator, Clerk III and Public Relations Assistant II.Pamittan said that the salaries for these positions that are under salary grades 6 to 9 range between P16,877 to P20,340.He stressed that the written test is the initial part of the screening process which may take three to six months starting from the submission of application documents.The examination was conducted by Kim Jernie Gabian, Administrative Officer II (HRMO I) of the Iloilo Provincial Government and a licensed psychometrician.He was assisted by NUP Rosana Tupaz, chief of NUP Affairs Section (Nupas) of Police Regional Office – 6, and NUP Maylin Peldonia, who heads the secretariat.The top police official in the province expressed optimism that through the current selection process adapted by the Philippine National Police (PNP), only the right person is placed on the positions.“The NUP, who mostly are tasked with office work, supports the very foundation of the PNP as it performs its duty to serve and protect the community,” he added.
