Bacolod police on full alert for Holy Week

THE Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) is now on full alert status ahead of the observance of the Holy Week next week, the police official said.Lieutenant Colonel Sherlock Gabana, spokesperson of BCPO, said Thursday, April 7, 2022, that all station commanders were already directed to put up their police assistance desks (Pads) in various churches, terminals, tourist destinations, as well as in beach resorts.Gabana said policemen were tasked to intensify their visibility patrol especially in these places to ensure the safety of the people.“Our policemen should also conduct mobile patrol within their areas of jurisdiction especially during night time,” he added.The BCPO official said all leave credits of their personnel are also temporarily canceled, except for those who applied for maternity and sick leave.They are required to report to their respective stations, Gabana said.Gabana said some personnel will also be deployed in various malls and streets where there is an influx of people to maintain peace and order in the city.He urged the public to always check their houses before leaving and unplug appliances to avoid fire incidents.
