BCPO seizes over P360K in ‘shabu’

IN ITS continuing campaign against illegal drugs, the Bacolod City Police seized over P360,000 worth of suspected shabu over the weekend in Barangays Tangub, Singcang-Airport and Sum-ag.Suspects were identified as William Cabiles, 31, Darwin Sibugan, 18, and Remar Mosqueda, 42, all residents of Purok Matahum, Barangay Tangub, and Rey Derla, 31 of Abada Escay, Vista Alegre in the city.Cabiles and Sibugan were arrested by operatives of City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) after they sold a sachet of shabu to a poseur buyer at Purok Matahum in Barangay Tangub past 1 p.m. Saturday, April 16.Police recovered from the suspects’ possession eight sachets of suspected shabu weighing 32 grams valued at P217,000, the P1,000 marked money, pouch, P220 in cash and several drug paraphernalia.Mosqueda was also arrested by operatives of Police Station 8 at Henrietta Village in Barangay Singcang-Airport at about 1 a.m. Saturday with four sachets of the suspected contraband weighing 20 grams valued at P136,000.Meanwhile, Derla was apprehended at about 3 a.m. yesterday, April 17, in Purok San Miguel Sum-ag for allegedly transacting to a police poseur buyer.He yielded eight sachets of the banned substance valued at P24,000 and weighing 2.4 grams.*
