Farm-to-market road projects inspected

SAN CARLOS City Mayor Renato Gustilo along with 303rd Brigade Commander Inocencio Pasaporte and Engineer Magnolia Antonio, City Planning and Development coordinator have inspected the three road concreting projects in the city on May 17, 2022.The farm-to-market road projects have a total distance of 4.26 kilometers and are funded through the Local Government Support Fund-Support to Barangay Development Program (LGSF-SBDP) of the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC).Assistant City Engineer Ronald Montebon said that proper Nataban to Binone Elementary School Road in Barangay Nataban is 90 percent complete and estimated to be opened on June 2022.Pasaporte said Sitio Alinga-ob to Balabag Elementary School Road in Barangay Quezon is still on base preparation while Sitio Cabagtasan Road in Barangay Codcod is already 60 percent complete.San Carlos City Government earlier received P100 million from the NTF-ELCAC program for the five insurgency-cleared barangays namely Nataban, Quezon, Codcod, Guadalupe, and Buluangan.Each barangay has an allocated budget of P20 million for its farm-to-market road.Also present during the assessment were Lieutenant Colonel J-Jay Javines of the Philippine Army, Punong Barangays Anthony Wee of Nataban, Roberto Tuting of Quezon, and Danilo Lastimoso of Codcod, among other officials.
