THE Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) in Bacolod City has conducted the new Agency Authorized Officers (AAOs) and Electronic Remittance File Handlers’ (ERF) Orientation 2022.The webinar was participated by 81 new AAOs and ERF Handlers’ from various government agencies in Negros Occidental.Topics presented included The AAO’s and ERF Handlers’ Functions, The Web MSP Membership Service Profile Processing, and the Electronic Billing and Collection System (EBCS) Enhancement programs.Melanie Balbuena, Staff Officer III of Billing and Collection Unit, emphasized the role and functions of AAO’s as the loan approver and the GSIS’ partner in timely submission of members information, while the ERF Handler’s are responsible for the timely and correct deduction of GSIS monthly contribution and loans.Participants were also reminded to upload their agency ERF before the end of every due month, and uploading of ARA’s at least a week before the end of the month or as needed.She also urged them to take prompt action on loan applications, 100 percent deduction on loans and settlement of on-default loans, loan threshold of 90 percent, always open the AAO Certification and always follow the billing format in preparing the ERF.Leilani Mangabat, chief of Billing, Collection and Reconciliation Division, answered all the participants’ issues and concerns during an open forum.Agencies, she said, are reminded to secure clearance from the GSIS for separating employees before payment of their terminal as per MC 005, Series of 2018.
