Mambukal reopens today for day visitors

THE Provincial Government-run Mambukal Resort and Wildlife Sanctuary in Murcia town, Negros Occidental will reopen Wednesday, April 20, but for day visitors only until end of this month.Provincial Administrator lawyer Rayfrando Diaz II said overnight stay at the resort will resume on May 1, 2022.Diaz said old rates will still be imposed during the reopening day as the Provincial Board has yet to approve the corrections made by the Provincial Legal Office on the proposed rate increase.”We will still use the old rates pending the approval of the new rates by the SP (Provincial Board),” he said, adding that the villas, swimming pools, dipping pools, lagoon and other facilities at the resort are ready to be enjoyed by the visitors.The provincial administrator said the Mambukal Hotel’s function room will also be open Wednesday, including the convention center for large gatherings and the mezzanine for the offices.Other parts of the hotel remained closed.Diaz said online payment for reservation is already accepted. The province accepts GCash, credit cards, as well as other electronic and digital payments.Travelers and local tourists are advised to get vaccinated, he added.
